In an event organized by Alaska last April 9, 2017, the Alaska Ironkids Aquathlon Series, 230 kids from different ages prove that being healthy is fun. Children as young as 6 years old went swimming and running at the Manila Polo Club, showing their determination and sportsmanship in becoming an Alaska IronKid.
Alaska has always been a strong supporter of sports programs especially those that involves the youth, encouraging kids as young as 6 years old to live an active and healthy lifestyle.
Aside from promoting a healthy lifestyle for the kids, Alaska also encourages moms to help their kids become Nutrition Action Champions by eating and drinking food with the right nutrition. Moms are also encouraged to guide their children to join character building activities such as sports. With this, they are helping their kids develop essential life skills that they can use as their edge and become competitive.
The Alaska Iron Kids Aquathlon Series, as well as the other sports oriented programs of Alaska, aims to foster discipline determination, hard work, and most importantly to develop a team player attitude among participants. The race course was designed to be challenging and fun at the same time for both first time and experienced participants.
