Voyager Innovation Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Smart Communications, Inc., plans to offer more services that will move to a higher global competition level to both local and foreign customers.
Orlando Vea, the president and chief executive officer of Voyager said that the company plans to launch the Smart e-money services in four Asian countries as well as in Europe and Latin America this year.
“(We) look beyond Smart versus Globe or PLDT versus Globe. This is bigger than both of us. It’ not about PLDT and Smart as we know ourselves now, this is not about Globe, this is about the bigger thing that we want to accomplish,” Vea said.
Stating the fact that it is the biggest domestic remittance platform in the Philippines with the output of P250 billion, Smart e-money also trying to reach the unbanked, uncarded, and unconnected customers.
LockbyMobile, Takatack and TackThis are some apps that developed by Voyager that are currently helping mobile users when it comes to e-commerce and financial aspect.
Also Zalora, Carmudi and Lamudi are global online retailers that are participating in SafeZone, which PLDT offered that allows Smart, Sun and Talk N’ Text subscribers to access social applications such as Facebook and Twitter using their mobile phones free of charge.
