The Tau Gamma Phi celebrates their 46th Anniversary on October 3, 2014 held at the Araneta Coliseum. In line with their 46th Anniversary theme “Fulfilling our Historical Mission in the Midst of Challenges,” the Triskelions, as the Tau Gamma Phi members call themselves, led by their leaders, vows to fight corruption and continue their mission as protectors of the environment.
We are against corruption, violence and environmental desecration which are now the most pressing issues and concerns confronting the country. TGP is stepping up to the plate to help the government stem the upsurge of graft in the barangay and even the top echelons of power.
Edgar Lopez, Tau Gamma Phi National Premiere
“Crime and corruption starts from the most basic unit of our society, which is the barangay,” Lopez said. The Tau Gamma Phi, having community chapters in almost 80 percent of the Barangays in the country, will continue to help maintain peace and order, and environment protection in their local communities.
“Triskelions believe that those in public service should be transparent in, and accountable for, their actions, more so when using public funds for projects,” Lopez added.
Amidst the negative image that the past fraternity incidents had brought them, the Triskelions continue to be loyal to their mission to protect the environment and the rights of their fellow Filipinos. As they protect the environment and help to restore peace and order in the community and within their ranks, they are also protecting everyone. As stated in their laws, “Man is brother unto man.”
